Herne Farm Leisure Centre have two competitive Squash Courts available for hire by residents or registering as a non-resident Squash Player of Herne Farm.

Squash Courts Available to Hire In Petersfield

  • The Squash Court Lights are linked to an online booking system. 
  • There are NO Squash Clubs Run or Based at Herne Farm Leisure Centre.
  • Residents can Hire Squash Courts on a Pay As You Play, via the Booking System. 
  • You are NOT permitted to book a squash court for someone else, your ‘Booking’ is for your personal use only.
  • Non-Resident:-
    • Must be Registered with Herne Farm.
      (Maximum of 40 places available).
    • New Registration via a ‘Waiting List’.
  • Organisations or Groups (e.g. schools, juniors etc) are asked to check with Centre Manager for squash court availability and costs.
    (Restrictions will apply on numbers).
  • Organised ‘Tournaments’ are not permitted for Health & Safety reasons.

Hiring a Squash Court Hire
(Resident)

If you are a Resident of Herne Farm (existing or new) and you wish to use the squash courts at the Leisure Centre, then we ask that you first register your details with the Centre Manager. The following information is required:

 

  • Full Name and Address
  • Current Email Address
  • Contact Phone Number
  • Proof of residency may also be required
 

Once registered you will then be able to click on the button “Hire a Court” on the left of this screen and reset your password. You will then be required to add funds to your ‘squash account’ before hiring a squash court.

Hiring a Squash Court Hire
(Non-Resident)

You need to Register with Herne Farm Leisure Centre to obtain a Username and Password.


Non-Residents Squash at Herne Farm. Registration Renewal Fee £40 for the year.


• Herne Farm has a maximum of 40 Non- Residents Registration available.

Note: (If you are interested in registering as a Non-Residents squash player at Herne Farm then please contact the Centre Manager with your contact details, and they will be added to the Waiting List’. You will then be contacted once a place becomes available).

Squash Hire Frequently Asked Questions

Resident and Non-Resident Access.

    • NO Squash Clubs are run or based at Herne Farm.
    • Residents.
      • That are NEW to the Herne Farm Estate and wish to use the Squash Courts must first Register their details with Centre Manager.
        (Details required are: Full Name and Address, Email Address, Contact Phone Number and Proof of Residency will also be required).
      • Will pay £3.00 per 45 minute session, (50% discount on ‘Standard Rate’).
      • Are allowed to Hire a Squash Court 7 Days in advance, (this period is at the discretion of the Centre Manager).
    • Non-Residents.
      • Must be Registered with Herne Farm Limited before they can Access the Centre and Hire a Squash Court.
      • Only 40 Registrations available to Non-Residents.
        (If you wish to apply then you must first contact the Centre Manager to be added to the ‘Waiting List’, and when a space becomes available you will be contacted on a first come, first serve basis).
      • Registrations are only for playing Squash, and you will be expected to Hire the Courts during the year.
      • Will pay a £40.00 Annual Registration Fee, and this fee must be paid before the 1st January.
      • Will pay £6.00 per 45 minute session, (Standard Rate).
      • Are allowed to Hire a Squash Court 5 Days in advance, (this period is at the discretion of the Centre Manager).
      • Are NOT allowed to use the Swimming Pool unless accompanying a Resident who has a swimming booking.
      • MUST inform the Centre Manger on 01730 266874 right away if your Key Fob is lost or stolen.
      • New or Replacement Key Fobs will cost £20, (replacements are at the discretion of the Centre Manager).
      • Key Fobs are for your use, and your use only, and they must not be lent to or used by anyone else.
    • Residents and Non-Residents.
      • Failure to adhere to the Centre and Squash Rules will result in your Key Fob being dialed out of the Door Access System, you will no longer be able to enter or use the Leisure Centre, and Access to the Centre may be denied for up to a maximum of three months.
      • A ‘Serious Breach’ of the Rules may result in your Registration being Cancelled, or your access to the Centre being denied.
      • Cancellation of any booking must be at least 24 hours before your session begins. The refund (less the transaction charge) will be paid back into your online account.
    • Coaching, Training or Any Block Booking.
      • The NEW ‘Multiple Hire Agreement Forms’ are now available for all ‘Coaching, Training or Block Bookings’.
      • The Agreement must be signed and agreed by the Centre Manager on Dates, Times, Duration, Numbers and Full Payment made prior to commencement.
      • Copies of any Qualifications/Certificates of Coaching Levels and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificate where appropriate must be presented and held by the Centre Manager before commencement.
      • Organised Tournaments’ are NOT permitted for Health & Safety reasons.

    • Yes
      • Residents are allowed to Coach their own Household Family Members in the Swimming Pool and on the Squash Courts.
      • Hall Hirers are allow to ‘Coach’ those attending Exercise, Fitness or Dance Classes.
      • Organisations, Societies and Other Events that Hire the Main Hall are allowed to ‘Coach’ if and when necessary.
    • No
      • You are NOT allowed to Organise or have ‘Paid’ Swimming Lessons in the Swimming Pool.
      • You are NOT allowed to ‘Coach’ Squash unless you have the correct and valid Squash Qualifications, (see below).
    • All Coaching, Training, Special Event or Any Block Booking.
      • Must have been agreed with by the Centre Manager and the Board on the Cost, Duration and Numbers.
      • A Contract must be signed and payment made prior to commencement.
      • Copies of any Qualifications/Certificates of Coaching Levels and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificate where appropriate must be presented and held by the Centre Manager before commencement.

      • Herne Farm Limited accepts NO responsibility for any fees or monies paid to ‘Coaches’ for any coaching at the Herne Farm Leisure Centre.
      • It is the responsibility of all the ‘Coaches’ to declare any earnings to the appropriate authorities or tax office.

    • Residents Under the Age of 16 year old.
      • All Children under 16 year old,
        • MUST be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible Resident Adult.
      • No Children under 16 years old are allowed in the Swimming Pool Area,
        • Unless accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible Resident Adult.
    • Residents between the ages 16 and 18 may be accompanied by,
      • ONE guest aged 16 years or over.
    • Residents over the age of 18 may be accompanied by a maximum of,
      • TWO Adult guests and/or
      • TWO Child guests who must be supervised at all times by an responsible Adult.
    • Residents are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children and guests at all times.
